Limbaugh: Obama “Failed” in Copenhagen, Unmasking Weakness and Ego

Rush Limbaugh acknowledged his glee in telling his talk radio audience Friday that the International Olympic Committee's rejection of Chicago's bid for the 2016 games is a metaphor for President Obama's weakness and an illustration of his “Mars-sized ego.”

“Who knew the Olympic Committee was a bunch of racists?” Limbaugh joked at the start of his program, saying he was waiting on official confirmation from former president Jimmy Carter, before turning to the gravity of the nation's embarrassment.

“When you stop to think about it, folks, doesn't it make sense?” Limbaugh asked. “Our president, Barack Hussein Obama, has been running around the world for nine months telling everybody how much our country sucks…. Why would anybody award the Olympics to such a crappy place?”

Calling it the “worst day of his presidency,” the nation's number-one conservative talk show host said Obama “has failed” and “wasted his country's time, and his prestige.”

“Obama demeaned the office of the presidency, going on this sales pitch,” Limbaugh said.

Chicago's loss, despite Obama's in-person plea, is a “metaphor for weakness,” Limbaugh told his millions of listeners, one that reveals Obama's naivety about the impact of his personal popularity on the world's impression of the United States.

“[Obama] doesn't realize that the hatred for this country has not abated. There may be some love for him, but their certainly is no respect for him,” Limbaugh said.

“He doesn't understand how delighted the world is to make him look foolish in order to take a swipe at our country,” Limbaugh said of the president. “We've got a two-year-old manchild with a Mars-sized ego, which today crashed and burned.”

The IOC's rejection of Chicago's bid was a “bitch-slap,” Limbaugh said. “Upside the head.”

“This is a moment of weakness, and weakness invites trouble. You think I'm laughing? What do you think's happening in Tehran?”

Liberal Group Targets Limbaugh in 2nd TV Ad

The liberal group, Americans United for Change, has released its second television ad attempting to paint conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh as the real leader of the Republican Party.

The television ad says that it’s Limbaugh — not Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele, or Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell — who was hailed at the recent Conservative Political Action Conference as the GOP’s hero.

The Democratic strategists behind the Limbaugh line-of-attack want every Republican official in the country to either “endorses or renounce” Limbaugh on the question of whether they want President Barack Obama to fail.

Limbaugh’s response is that he wants Obama to fail if the president’s goal is to “restructure and reform this country so that capitalism and individual liberty are not its foundations.”
